Today, Freezing temperatures and a snow storm are in the forecast. It certainly delays spring for us raring to have some greens and warmer weather. While this is a setback in my gardening dreams, I can take heart in the fact that spring will finally take over even if winter is quite reluctant to relinquish its place. For some cheer, here are some stirrings of life hereabouts. š
The geese are back from their southern vacation –
There are even turtles sunning themselves in the pond.Ā Well, the other one swam before I could take a picture.Ā Who knew that a turtle could be so fast? š
The pussy willows are bursting.
The mallards are back in their favorite trysting place – the smelly swamp.Ā The cycle of life continues.
Last but not least, the tulips (along with narcissus and muscari) are sprouting!
Happy wonderful day to all. š
Signs of spring abound despite your still bitterly cold weather Imelda. Things have turned much colder here again with some frost. Beautiful photos as always š
It’s nice to see the early signs of Spring.
I’d like to see more of them, and faster please.
True. Just a little spring hiccup with this snow storm and hopefully spring is all set to stay. š
Wonderful pictures Imelda. I loved them:)
Great pics showing definite signs of Spring. š
Thanks, Sylvia. š
Yes, spring is around the corner. I like the photos you shared. Especially ducks… I like ducks!
Thanks, Janna. š Next time I happen by the pond, I will try to take some nice duck photos for you. š
Inspiring visions of Spring!
