What is earth
mounded like a grave
above the daffodils?
The weight that turns man to dust
wields no power over a seed
In the darkness
it gathers strength
that in time
spiking through the earth
daffodils assert
the victory of life
over death.

I love your comparison of the difference in what the weight of the earth does to the living as opposed to the dead. This is such an obvious observation that has never occurred to me. Thank you!!!
Thanks, Luanne. 🙂
The endurance and promising strength of a seedling. Beautiful, Imelda.

Thanks, Neil. And just like that, it is spring. Have fun in your wanderings. 🙂
I like the thought of the seed gathering strength in the darkness.
Life over death, love the theme of rising and redemption.
Thanks, Grace. 🙂
Beautifully depicted strength and resilience.

Daffodils “spiking through the earth”? How PERFECT!
