Listen to my song
and you will know my soul.
In each trill, in each note
hide my deepest sentiments.
Each word strips
the mask I wear
revealing more than I should
if you listen
only if you listen.
Ride the waves of the melody
soaring
dipping
mellowing
to live my silent prayers.

Lovely, Imelda!
Thanks, Elena. 😊
I feel the same way about my poems.
And I think, even more so because the words came from you yourself. We do put bits of ourselves in our works. 😊
I love the bag pipes 😀
Beautiful poetry and images, Imelda.
Thanks, Jane.
This is specially true of any artist:
Listen to my song
and you will know my soul.
Thanks for joining in Imelda. Have a good week.
Thanks, Grace. It’s always my pleasure to participate in the prompts (whenever I can). 🙂
This is beautiful Imelda, and I love the bagpipes photo! Great post!
Thanks, Rob. 🙂
I like the listening to silent prayers.
