In obscure silence, she toils
in her little garden
in this side of Heaven
an unknown soul
blessed with no great wealth
nor noble name
She labors
doing what her state requires
humble work or service
work not too many desire
it confers no honor nor greatness
as the world defines
She is a drop of water in the sea
her work will not change the world
Still she greets the moon
with peace in her soul
she has done what she ought
knowing she may not reap its fruits
asking for no recognition or reward
More than the blessing of her God.

How beautiful!
Thanks, Cindy. 😀
So amazing.
Still struck by them.
Me, too. I think i’ll buy their music. 😀
I got one of their CD’s and the CD is excellent indeed.
Mother Cecilia is a shining soul and bless her and the sisters for trying to share the love of God and their unexpected JOY with the world (and with that reporter who only kept trying to make jokes about their chosen life.) Thank you for remembering all the simple people who toil with joy in their hearts, Imelda.
What a beautiful portrait of a simple and happy life.
Thanks, V.J.
A beautiful write and tribute Imelda, I love the unconditional devotion and her blessings are already with her 💜
Thanks, Xania. 🙂
