Roaring Atlantic
hammers against ancient rocks
splintering like glass
Enduring rocks stand
holding back the raging sea
sculpture in progress
Hungry seagulls scream
above the roiling waters
swooping down for crumbs
earth, water, and air
playing nature’s symphony
tourists stand in awe

Lovely haiku ~ a favorite form of mine.
I love the raw power of nature in your series of haiku, Imelda, especially the lines:
‘hammers against ancient rocks
splintering like glass’
and
‘earth, water, and air
playing nature’s symphony’.
Gorgeous place and verse to match.
🦋 I saw the Atlantic Ocean once. It’s a pale green from what I remember. Beautiful photos.
🦋 A lovely poem to bring back memories.
stunning words Imelda, I was really swept away by your eloquency
