Laughter sparkles like glass
bubbling with champagne
until it shatters
and dissolves
into a pool
of tears
fragile is the moment
quickly feelings turn
serenity holds them all
together
like a mother’s arms
holding her child
close to her heart
The photos may have nothing to do with the poem but somehow, they speak to me of serenity. There is something magical and calming about swans gliding on reflective waters, alone in their own world.
Your words are moving and calming at the same time. It’s how you write the words, your doing 8t right. Would love your feedback on my new short called The Writers Block
Truly magical. Love the pic and the verse caught my heart.
Thanks. 🙂
Calming poem, and I also think that is a calming photo too. Sometimes it takes a quiet moment to feel peace. Beautiful shot from afar. Hope all is well and winter is going okay for you 🙂
Thanks, Mabel. 🙂 All’s well with us. So far, late fall has been warmer than previous years. And you, how’s your book coming along? Good luck with the writing. 🙂
Good to hear you have warmth lingering around 🙂 Book, it’s slow but it is coming along. Thank you so much, Imelda 🙂
Beautiful words and photo. Love the reflections.
Isn’t it funny that swans do indeed convey serenity (I suppose because they glide so smoothly and quietly) although they are actually quite nasty and aggressive?! Beautiful verse and photos.
I guess the visual is to make up for their aggressiveness. 🙂 I fear swans when they are out of water.
What can be more magical; swans reflected gliding on water? You have said it all.
🙂 We are kindred spirits in this sense. 🙂
Indeed. A picture, like music, needs few or no words to tell its story or carry its message.
I love swans. I dont’ see them much anymore. God bless!
Thanks. God bless you, too. I am sorry for the delayed reply. I rarely get to use my desktop where I do most of my blogging. My children hog it these days.
Reblogged this on Go Dog Go Café and commented:

Sorry, I caught up with the comments just now. I rarely get the chance to use my desktop where I do most of the blogging work. My kids take turns using it. I much appreciate the re-blog and your feedback. 🙂
Absolutely beautiful! Love the juxtaposition between bubbling like champagne and shattering. Serenity encompassing it all, like the clear lake, or the wavy, stormy lake.
Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated, Pharaoh. 🙂
Your welcome 🙂
