“You are my prayer and vow.” LOVE this!
Beautifully done! The question in the center is brilliant – it moves you from one thought to the next flawlessly.
Love the entire poem specially, you are my prayer and vow !!!
Okay, I’m probably reading too much into everyone’s poems. I see a theme lurking around every corner; or perhaps I’m loath to take things at face value. I see a deeper, higher love being hinted at in the wording. Tell me if I’m wrong (I’ve been wrong many times; you won’t hurt my feelings). Even if unintended, it says much if something spiritual seems to be shining behind the scenes.
Oh, thanks for the feedback, Charley. π Frankly, I was just focused on completing this piece (my husband as muse), putting words like jigsaw puzzle pieces that other considerations were out of my head. I was a bit wary with using “adore” though because it is something beyter reserved for God. π
Lovely lines
Thank you, Nikki. π
Can feel you meant it every word — there’s a lucky man. How warming and poised.
The first three lines just stole my heart. A beautiful poem!
Wow… I’ll for the perfect moment to use ds.
Thanks. π
