Magnolias paint grandeur on the April skies
and lilacs lend their sweetness to the spring air
as cherry blossoms unfurl their silken shade
only to rain blushing kisses everywhere
Apple blossoms secrete the flavors of fall
but Dogwoods with their blood-tipped petals recall
His journey from the cross to resurrection.
Great piece!
Thanks so much for the kind words. 🙂
You’re welcome!

Thank you. 🙂
spring in words!
Hi, Noel. 🙂
I am sorry, but for a perception like that to be wakening, the poem must be written in a form. Even sugar candy has form.
Thanks for dropping by and the comment, Vaccinius. 🙂
To learn to write in form is like standing in a queue. You advance steadily, and suddenly you are there.
🙂
AVIS
If you are standing in a queue,
the only thing there is to do
is to make clear you are not by
the queue, letting your dream fly!
The above piece I wrote was a septet. http://www.thepoetsgarret.com/septet.html 🙂 Thanks. If you browse through this page, you might find some structured pieces like the sample you gave me. 🙂
Nice sound in your poem. I also liked the first photograph the best.
Thanks, Frank. 🙂
Love what you can do with name of flowers…
