It is an October morning
sunbeams filter through the boughs
dew-laden grass glisten
inviting me to touch
their diamond-tipped blades
with my bare feet
the hum of birds shield
against the morning rush
but there I was
behind closed doors and glass panes
working
to be the sunbeam and dew
for those I love.
Beautiful words and FABULOUS captures – LOVE the mushrooms!
Thanks, Joanne. 🙂
Wonderful shot and lovely words. It’s hard to stay inside and cook dinner when the flora and fauna are calling us outside. I know that feeling well. 🙂
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thanks, Wendy.
Us mothers do know the feeling well. 🙂
Wow wow wow
Thanks. 🙂
You are a sunbeam! 🙂 What a great poem and photo.
Wonderful photo and poem. Mornings are a time for us to nurture others. Sometimes our wishes are put on hold for a moment
The story of our lives as mothers. 🙂
I liked this very much with the inside position yearning to be outdoors. Lovely!
Thanks a lot, Reo. 🙂
Beautifully penned… I could definitely feel the sense of freedom among your verses…
