WPC: COVER ART

Fall Music

I had to cajole my sons to pose for me.  I was thinking of a solemn mood to complement Autumn and the gray days we have.  The idea began with my ruined violin bow.  I think my youngest son got a hold of it and pulled at the horsehair.  I wanted falling leaves to be part of the motif.  I asked his younger brother to toss wet leaves onto him.  The younger one happily obliged.  He tossed and kicked handfuls of leaves much to this son’s chagrin.  They are both good sports and I owe them one. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Bulldog. No, I am not a pro. I was just inspired by the talented photographers whose works I see online. I pretend I am like them and do experiments when I have the chance. 🙂

  1. Wonderful BW photo Imelda. Totally fits the the dreary, impending cold of winter feeling in the air. That poor bow, all fallen apart. But I’m sure it can be fixed… Your sons are very sporting indeed to make this short work. I think you owe them a bunch of cookies 🙂

    1. Thanks, Mabel. 🙂 I told them I would pay them for the work they did for me – after all it’s not their regular house chore – but the older one said “It’s OK, Mommy.” However, they always appreciate cookies. 🙂

  2. A very special photo Imelda – save it for a future photography contest about portraits; seriously! It’s beautifully focused and composed and I agree it doesn’t look at all posed. Really really nicely done.
