I found myself with some extra time last Monday, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. My in-laws were here, and so was my husband who had no work that day. I used my little vacation to play with the camera. Since it is the middle of winter and there are hardly any pretty things to photograph outdoors (and for the first time in many days, there was sunlight), I brought some pretty little things I have outdoors and took pictures of them in all sorts of places.
I paired my red glass beads with rocks and tree stumps, among others, pearls with teapots and dead flowers, and teapots with the elements, among others. Here are some interesting / silly (whichever way one looks at it) 🙂 results.
I hope you had fun looking at the pictures as I had fun taking them. 🙂 Thank you for coming by.
Thanks for sharing your pictures!
Welcome and thank you for coming by. 🙂
How fun! I love that!!!
Beautiful photos ! I love the first one a lot. You have lovely jewelry. 🙂
Thanks, Divya. 🙂 I got the pearls from the Philippines. Pearls (of all sorts) abound in the Philippines. There is a place in Metro Manila where you can get pearls and lots and lots of them for a reasonable price.
The red one is a costume jewelry that I got for Christmas. It does look lovely. 🙂
Very nice set up and execution!
Thanks, Inge. 🙂
They’re all fun, lovely and imaginative layouts. I especially like the first. Spot on, Imelda.
Thanks, Jamie. 🙂 Happy week.
Beautiful pictures!
Thanks, Stefan. 🙂
Very lovely and very clever! Love them all but I especially like the sepia tone one.
Thanks, Linda. 🙂 The sepia treatment improved the photo. The color version drowned out a little the pearls.
You get the most creative ideas for taking photos… Diane
Thanks, Diane. 🙂 It was an experiment to relieve the rather dull winter scenery. It was fun to have this kind of play every once in awhile.
All beautiful, but love the first one. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Diane. I am always happy to see you come by. 🙂 Have a beautiful week ahead.
Beautifully done! I love the sepia colored one of the beads and flowers – also the teapots in the water……they seem to hint of interesting stories from days gone by. …smiles…
Thanks, Janice. 🙂 I appreciate your feedback. Somehow, I was thinking if the pairing would work. I felt a little odd putting the teapots in the water. 🙂
I love your imagination that you applied to your teapot and cup 🙂 nice!
Beautiful photos, Imelda. I love the gorgeous teapot and cream jug sitting out amongst the dead leaves. What a fun time you must have had. 🙂
I like it that you actually went out and took some photos rather than just dig something out of your archives. Well done!
I’m glad you had a mini-vacation. I do love the photo compositions you come up with 🙂
Fun idea! I also love the sepia one it looks like it should be hanging on a wall!
Beautiful!
