OUR CELEBRATION
The year slipped into the woods
unnoticed, except by the stars looking down from above.
The deep snow must have muffled its steps
and the frigid winds trapped its voice
while they kept us buried
under layers and layers of quilts
behind sealed windows and doors.
Such beautiful words Imelda. Great post hon and wishing you all of the best for 2014 as well. 😀 *hugs*
Happy New Year, Imelda… 🙂 Best wishes to you and yours… !!
A beautiful poem as the New Year is ushered in. We do not have the snow to muffle the sound as our grass that usually is white during this season is now green and the hay in the field across the road is yellow and brown. Hoping 2014 will be a wonderful year to you and yours.
Lovely words! I wish you all the best in 2014
Happy New Year, Imelda
