TEQUILA SUNRISE

Here are some Tequila Sunrise rose photos for your enjoyment, dear friends.

Just a little story.
In December, when my husband and children were putting the outdoor lights around one of the evergreens by our porch, one of them stepped on this rose plant and broke the main branch. I did not not make too much of a fuss but I was truly disappointed that one of my rose plants was ruined.

To console myself, I thought that I had a wonderful excuse to buy a new plant and did promise myself to get one to replace this would-certainly-be-dead one.

But when springtime came, this plant was the first one to show new shoots. It gave not one but two new and sturdy looking canes which produced these beautiful flowers. Meanwhile, the broken stem is still alive and sprouted new leaves.

I will not be replacing this rose after all. But I got new plants anyway. There can’t be too many roses after all. πŸ™‚

  1. What gorgeous roses, they look like they are on fire. So glad your story had a happy ending. So much of what we worry about never really materializes does it. Good that you didn’t worry about the flower. I liked your plan to buy a new one much better! πŸ™‚

    • Hi Liife&Ink. You are so right about worrying – it is an unnecessary expense of energy – yet, yet it is something that is so ingrained in me. πŸ™‚ I am just so happy that most of the things that worry me don’t happen or I’ll be a wreck. πŸ™‚

  2. That is an absolutely beautiful rose! I have a feeling that rose plants are pretty hardy plants – I have one that has been in my yard for 20 some years. I haven’t always been real good to it, and sometimes its just been ignored, but it keeps coming back and pops out a flower at least once a year. And you’re right, probably can’t be too many roses! πŸ™‚
I’m so glad your story had a happy and beautiful ending! Enjoy!
