Lily of the Valley

But for their scent

they  would have remained hidden

just as  good deeds are.

  1. Imelda, these hidden beauties are exquisite. Did you write that verse at the end? It is the gem of this post! How utterly utterly true. Loving your gentle and kind soul. Hugs, Sharon

    1. They are such tiny gems. Their scent is special. When I first saw it, I was surprised at how little these flowers are. I had grad ideas about them being big and well…grand. 🙂

  2. Beautiful flowering plants. Reminds me of God’s words ” Lilly of the valley”. I wonder if God meant that we should be like this flower? Showing beauty around us?
    Have a nice day!

    1. Hi Joy. You may be right – a lily of the valley is a beautiful pure simple flower but one which is utterly fragrant. Not a bad ideal, huh? 🙂

  3. Oh, what a beautiful photo of the Lily . We have them here to but they
don´t start to bloom until the the middle of June.
Their scent is wonderful ! // Maria

    1. Thank you, Maria. 🙂 They are so fragrant that just a few plants in the front yard makes a lot of difference in the scent around the yard. 🙂

  4. This is so beautiful, Imelda ..your words and the picture ..

Sorry that I don’t visit your blog more frequently .. there’s so little time for the internet at the moment ..

    1. Hi Ocean. You are so nice. Thank you for visiting. I, too, have to catch up with visits and comments. My arm has been giving me discomfort and could not tolerate much mouse clicking and such. I’ll be by your place soon. 🙂
