    1. A happy mother’s day to you, Sharon. πŸ™‚ I hope you will have a lovely special day (today and always) with your family. πŸ™‚

  1. Lovely photos, but the Mother’s Day is the last sunday for us… I gave my mother a photo with a bird and a little beside with a text last year. Hard to translate this into English…

But I hope your Mother’s Day gonna be fine… 2 weeks before Mother’s Day here…

    1. Thank you, Maria. πŸ™‚ Oh, I thought that Mother’s Day is a standardized event. Though come to think of it, we never celebrated Mother’s Day when I was growing up in rural Philippines. I guess it only got to our shores with the advances in communication and technology.

I hope you Mother’s Day will be special, Maria. πŸ™‚

  2. Happy Mothers Day Imelda . Thanks for sharing this wonderful post my friend I love it πŸ™‚

  3. Yes, once you are a mother, you are mother of all. Anyone who loves with his/her heart, loves beyond the walls of their home. He/She hears the cry of children society has forgotten. Love is a blessing that is meant to be shared and celebrated everyday. Happy Mother’s Day. I wish you all the happiness my friend.

  4. Funny how these things get translated and transferred around the world. This one seems to date back to Elizabethan times (that’s QE I in the fifteenth century) when on the mid-Sunday in the period of Lent, girls hired as servants in the New Year, were allowed home for a holiday to visit their mothers, and to show their new cookery skills, were allowed to take home a ‘Simnel Cake’, but because of the strict rules about fasting during Lent, the cake had to be especially rich in order to preserve it until Easter. Loved your photographs.
