“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the water to create many ripples.”
~Mother Teresa of Calcutta
“Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, these ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”
~Robert F. Kennedy

I am posting with Boston and the victims of the evil act in my thoughts and prayers. It is my hope that the perpetrator(s) of the murderous act be brought to justice.
Each of our little deeds and thoughts – good or bad – affects those around us. Amid our daily struggles, may the God-given goodness in each of us triumph over our ill motives and desires. Let not our light be dimmed by the tragedy around us. It is precisely in moments like this that we are called to rise above our self-interests and recognize in each person a brother/sister. May God bless us all.
Amen.
I echo your sentiments…Diane
You’ve said it all. Thank you.
It was a scary day. I’ve been to the marathon many many times, and was thinking of going today but decided not to.
I am so glad to hear you’re safe. What a happy decision you made. May your guardian angel watch over you and your loved ones always.
Thank you very much!
My wife works about 5 blocks away from where it happened, and she heard the sound of the explosion while she was in her office. I worried and bit my nails until she came home!
Oh my! I could not possibly imagine how nervous you were. Thank God she’s safe and that the other bombs did not detonate. Times like this show how much each minute is a miracle.
Very well said!
Thank You.
Imelda – this was a bright spot in a dark day…I trust that the good in people will rise above the bad too. Thank you for sharing from your heart. God bless you
Beautiful tribute, Imelda.
My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone touched by this tragedy too.
