Posting about Autumn reminded me of this song. THe line about September and anything that is autumn-like in this song is very brief, yet somehow, the music and the mood is autumn in music:
This is our backyard from our kitchen window. Do you see the reflected light and the dirt on the window pane? 🙂
This is the view to our neighbor’s place from our backyard.
This was taken in the graveyard near our home.
This squirrel is ready to hibernate. I caught it resting on the neighbor’s porch.
Yay! I caught a squirrel running away to shelter. I was inside the house though watching the squirrels from the kitchen window. I used the zoom to get a picture of them.
This was our backyard last year after some heavy autumn rains.
This was taken in the nearby cemetery when we visited on All Saints’ day.
These were pumpkins from our garden last year.
The picture was taken while we were cruising along Route 140 from a trip to Target. These trees decorated the entrance to a development and provided privacy to the apartments near the road.
And here is something I forgot to do – tell you to go to Jakesprinters’ site for his Sunday Post theme – AUTUMN. 🙂 Sorry Jake, I forgot to put the link immediately. Ayay!
Oh that does my heart good to hear 🙂 It made me want to pick up my pen tonight. There are but a few leaves turning red on the bronzed leaf maple in our backyard… your haiku inspired me.
