Dear Child,

I wish I can foretell the future. But I can’t. So I decide what’s best given the circumstances. If things don’t work out well, KNOW – I had your best interests at heart.

Love,

Parent

  1. Well said. It really is a frightening thought to know how utterly responsible we are for our children’s futures: that every decision impacts their futures for better or worse.

  2. This is, I think, the moment when we truly mature. When we realize that there is more to us than we think, and who helped put it there. Wonderfully written, thanks for inspiring a good state of mind!
